Looking back on my young adulthood, I can now clearly identify that I had no idea what it meant to be responsible for myself only. I had no boundaries, no voice of my own, and no idea where I ended and others began at times. I was not fully aware that others were responsible for themselves; their feelings, attitudes, beliefs, behaviors, choices, actions, and consequences. This was a hard concept for me to learn as I am highly sensitive to other's feelings, and that paired with misinterpretation of what it meant to be a Christian took me through some hard lessons to learn. The past two decades have been full of pruning, growing, and harvesting. This has occurred in different stages in different areas of my life. I have now come to understand the importance of so many tools that I have gained along the way, every season of pruning I would gain new insight into what I was previously conforming to that was not aligning with God's plan for me, each growth spurt I was able to renew my mind to reflect God's truth, and the harvesting season allowed me to pour into others. You see, as a Christ-follower I have learned that God provides but His intention is not for us to keep it to ourselves, He provides so that we can continue to use what He has done in our lives to give to another, to be the light. We create change one person at a time.
